This protractor square is really handy. Of course it acts as any small square would act - to indicate right angles. But this item also acts as a protractor. It does an especially good job as a protractor. The red bar swings and tightens in place. It protrudes from both sides of the square so you can easily align it squarely with an edge of your project. Once it is aligned, it is very simple and easy to set and lock-in any angle you wish. The graduations on the protractor are every 2 degrees, but 45 degrees has a special mark. All the markings are clear and easy to read. The size is very handy as well - big enough to read and get the job done, but not so big as to be awkward or difficult to store. This square is very sturdy and heavy-duty. The metal is really thick and chunky. They sure did not skimp on materials when they made these! Overall, it is a durable, and handy device for any craftsman or home handyman. Five stars.

Got this for my guy and he's happy with it. The adjustable angle thingy in the middle is good for repeated cuts. Keeps them uniform. Pretty heavy aluminum too. The white lettering is easy to see in daylight.

We were building an odd shaped sub box that had 4 angled cuts that we needed to figure out and not normally doing things like that this was a life saver. We were able to use this to figure out what to set our cutter at at match things up perfectly. In the past I would need to grab a school protractor to try and eye ball it. This makes it so so much easier. It a heavy metal that feels like it will hold up over time.
